Justin turns 15.

Sunday was Justin's 15th birthday. He had a few friends over and they played on the X-box 360 all day.

I finished the baby afghan!!

I never thought I'd get it done so quickly but I did. WAHOO!!!

the entire afghan took me less then 2 weeks and that was with a few days being stuck because I needed to get the correct colors of yarn. Not to mention I ended up going to 2 different Michael's and Wal-marts to get enough. Now I have extra LOL oh well i'm sure I can come up with another project to use them in.

It should be big enough to grown with him into at least a twin bed.

Oh Tony's sister had her baby boy early ( she isn't due until the 11th but Zachariah was born a week ago yesterday. weighing in at 8lb 8oz. )

he was a bit Jaundice and had a fever so he ended up back in children's this past weekend but he is doing so much better now.

So Now I need to figure out what project to do next. I could start back on our afghan or find something else because I think I need a crochetting break for at least a week.

Devin has an animal report and diahrama to write and make. He has chosen the Polar Bear for his animal. So maybe we can work with some polymer or something to try a get things out I'm not sure.

so so sleepy

So i don't know how but the kids got some nasty spyware/malware on the computer downstairs this weekend and I just noticed it yesterday afternoon.

this sucker, deleted shortcuts on my desktop right and left and had fake pop up for security everywhere on my compuer UGH.

I am so tired right now because I spent hours fixing the computer + we had company over last night for dinner ( a friend visiting from AZ drove back into town )

anyways I was up until at least 3:30am messing with the computer and running scans and trying to remember where I put everything since that PC has 3 very large hardrives LOL.

I finally got it running pretty good and went to bed to wake up 3 hours later to get the kids ready for school. I deleted the bad files (and there was alot of them) and rebooted and re-ran the scan again after I dropped the kids off from school. They i had to run Tony to the trolley and drop some library books that were due today at the library. Got home and see that the scan looks clean so I run a couple others just incase LOL.

All looks well now but between the computer and my phone ringing off the hook this morning ( my mom has called 4 times UGH) I'm beat and its already almost 1 pm which means no nap for me or I might not wake up in time to get the kids from school. I hope they don't have a ton of homework tonight so I can rest for a bit before I have to drive and pick Tony up.

Dinner tonight is going to have to be something simple I'm not sure what yet but I will figure it out.

But on a good note, my house if super clean I did the laundry yesterday, bathrooms sunday and the kitchen is wonderful and not a dirty dish in the sink, such a nice feeling

now to just make me happy I need the Tax stimulus deposited into my acct so i can go to Michaels and get my yarn for the baby afghan, I'm itchy so bad to work on it its crazy.

busy weekend

I've been super busy this past weekend.
Crocheting, doing housework, baking ect.

I baked 4 loaves o bread this weekend, 2 Sour Dough, 2 Honey - Wheat. ( I'm at almost 6 months of all homemade bread)
I cleaned the house a few times ( KIDS LOL) and even reorganized my closet. ( its a big walk in, so i have our clothes of course, a minifridge/5 gallon water cooler, linen shelves and all my craft supplies + the kids back up school supplies.) now I know what I have what I need and maybe a bit more motivation to do something with all the boxes of photos and magazines.

I finished all the hats I was crocheting last week here are a few pictures.

The baby hats for my 2 cousins( brown mix & pink mix) and Tony's sister Michelle's( blue mix) babies to be.

I've since started a couple afghans. One for tony and I for our bed and one for Tony's sisters to be baby to match the hat.

I am as far as I can go on the baby one for now because i rain out of one of the yarns UGH so I have to get to Michael's or Wal-mart to get some more, hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.

So I'm going to go back to our afghan until I either 1) run out of yarn, because I only have 2 skeins right now ( I wanted to make sure I could figure out how to make one at all LOL) or 2) until I get the yarn for the baby afghan because I'm on a time crunch for that one since Michelle is due in less then 2 weeks and I still have to mail it up to WA.

venturing away from hats

I've started my first crocheted afghan. I'm not very far at all only on row 2 but I'm understanding the pattern easy enough so I know I can do this.

After 6 stocking hats I needed a change LOL

I have pictures of all the hats I've done i just need to get them off my camera, along w/ a bunch of other pictures, like ones from the Padres game we went to last week that lasted 22 innings we only stayed for 9 of them though because it was getting late. I got some cool pictures w/ the new camera.

Tony got me a Canon Rebel XTI camera for my birthday/valentines day. I finally am getting around to getting the first pictures off of it. Here is one of my favorites of Courtney. I love how the camera captured her blowing hair in the breeze.

there are so many new things to learn w/ the camera I'm super excited about that.

HOT, HOT, HOT

That's what it was this weekend for sure, and it lookslike today is going to be another one.
I don't know if summer is coming early or the Santa Ana winds are just whipping through southern CA but its HOT!!!!.

The temp on Sat, was in the high 80's w/ horrid humidity then yesterday it was in the mid 90's and unbearable to be outside, well at least for me. LOL

I was pumping the kids w/ water, we are going to have a huge water bill from all the water fights the kids were having but thats fine they needed to stay cool somehow right?

Courtney and Devin had a birthday party to go to yesterday, it was indoors at Pump It UP! and we got to enjoy the lovely A/C for a couple hours which was so nice.

During the party I put my phone out in the car to charge for awhile, went back later to check on it and the charging shut off do to high temps. Then on the way home Devin touched his balloon against the window when we were on the freeway and it exploded, scared the heck out of me LOL.

Today is suppose to be another hot one in the high 80's at least. The kids will mostlikely be miserable at school since there is no A/C in the classrooms at least they have their water.
I was planning on baking some homemade bread today but now I'm thinking running the oven not the best idea LOL.

At least Tony hooked up the Window A/C unit up stairs last night so I can keep the bedrooms cool.

Prayers please

One of Courtney's classmates ( this year 5th grade and last in 4th) passed away today. This amazing and sweet 11 year boy was battling cancer.

Please pray for his family, and Courtney and the other students in her class as well as the students in her school and the staff. She is taking this hard, her emotions are up and down this evening and she fell asleep early tonight from pure exhaustion.

Its so hard to lose someone close to you but being a child is even harder.

But he is with Jesus now and now suffering anymore.

He will be sorely missed. =(

The beginning

not sure what to write just yet.
Not allot of time right now as we are getting dinner started and DH is calling me for help. We are trying to smoke a salmon fillet tonight, ( they were on sale at Ralph's for 4.99 LB this week) Hope it turns out well we are also grilling some top sirloin steaks and doing garlic bread, corn and brussel sprouts ( which only Court, Devy and I will eat).

So I better get to it.

I love to cook and try different things so this will be another because we usually grill or poach our salmon.
